Privacy Policy
AIAxon (“AIAxon”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a Google Sheets™ add-on designed to help users memorize Scripture through simple memory scenes and familiar locations.
We respect your privacy. AIAxon is designed to operate without creating user accounts, advertising profiles, analytics profiles, or a separate database of your Bible study content.
1. Information We Access
When you use AIAxon, the add-on may access information in the Google Sheet™ where you use it, such as:
- Bible book, chapter, verse and verse text displayed in the AIAxon workspace;
- Scene placeholders or keywords you enter;
- AI-generated memory scenes;
- Scene location names and related information that you choose to save.
This information is accessed only to provide the functionality you request. AIAxon does not operate a separate user account system and does not require you to create an AIAxon account.
2. Information We Collect
For the current version of AIAxon:
- We do not collect or maintain a list of AIAxon user accounts.
- We do not collect your Google Account password.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
- We do not use your Google Sheets™ content for advertising or profiling.
- We do not use advertising trackers or analytics services in the AIAxon website or add-on.
- We do not maintain a separate online library of your saved scenes or locations.
Your saved scenes, placeholders, and locations are stored in the Google Sheet™ you use with AIAxon, including the AIAxon Library sheet created by the add-on.
3. Google User Data
AIAxon accesses Google user data only when necessary to provide its core functionality. This may include reading and writing cells in the active spreadsheet and creating or maintaining the AIAxon workspace and library.
We use Google user data only to provide the features requested by the user. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to build advertising profiles.
We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except where a third-party service is necessary to provide a feature requested by the user, as described in this Privacy Policy.
4. How Google User Data Is Used
Google user data accessed by AIAxon is used only to provide the functionality of the add-on. For example, spreadsheet data may be read to display Scripture passages, scene placeholders, generated memory scenes, and saved locations within the AIAxon workspace.
AIAxon does not use Google user data for advertising, targeted advertising, profiling, or the creation of advertising databases.
AIAxon does not sell, rent, or otherwise commercially transfer Google user data to third parties for purposes unrelated to the functionality requested by the user.
5. AI Processing and Limited Use
AIAxon uses the OpenAI API to generate short memory scenes from scene placeholders or keywords provided by the user.
When you select Generate, AIAxon sends only the scene placeholders or keywords necessary to generate the requested memory scene to the OpenAI API. AIAxon does not send the user's entire Google Sheet™ or AIAxon Library to the AI service for this feature.
The AI-generated result is returned to AIAxon and can then be saved to the user's Google Sheet™.
AIAxon does not use raw or derived Google user data received through Google Workspace APIs to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
AIAxon's use of Google user data adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Our OpenAI API organization settings do not opt in to sharing API inputs and outputs with OpenAI for model training or service improvement. AIAxon does not intentionally use Google user data for generalized model training or improvement.
Information processed by the OpenAI API may be subject to OpenAI's applicable terms, privacy policy, security practices, and data retention practices.
6. Third-Party AI Provider
AIAxon currently integrates with the following third-party AI service:
- Provider: OpenAI
- Service: OpenAI API
- Model: gpt-4o-mini
AIAxon uses the OpenAI API only to perform the AI memory-scene generation requested by the user. AIAxon does not use an AI aggregator, gateway, multi-model hub, or other intermediary AI provider for this functionality.
The applicable OpenAI API service and data handling practices are governed by OpenAI's current terms and policies.
7. Bible Text Service
AIAxon uses the ESV API to retrieve Bible passages when you load a New Testament chapter. The selected book and chapter reference are sent to the ESV service to retrieve the requested passage.
AIAxon does not send your Google Account credentials or your private spreadsheet library to the ESV service.
8. Locations
AIAxon allows you to enter a familiar location, such as “My kitchen” or “My backyard”, and save it with a memory scene.
In the current version, these location names and related information are stored in your Google Sheet™. AIAxon does not collect your device's live GPS location.
If future versions introduce map or geolocation services, this Privacy Policy will be updated before those features are introduced.
9. Data Storage
AIAxon is designed so that your memorization workspace and saved library remain in your Google Sheet™. We do not operate a separate AIAxon database containing your Bible study content or saved scenes.
The information you create in AIAxon, including scene placeholders, generated scenes, and saved locations, remains in your Google Sheet™ until you edit or delete it.
Temporary processing may occur when information is sent to an external service to perform a function you request, such as retrieving a Bible passage or generating an AI memory scene. Such processing may be subject to the applicable retention and deletion practices of the relevant service provider.
10. Data Retention and Deletion
AIAxon does not maintain a separate database of Google user data. Because user-created AIAxon content is stored in the user's Google Sheet™, AIAxon does not have a separate AIAxon retention period for that content.
Your AIAxon content, including Scripture-related workspace data, scene placeholders, generated memory scenes, and saved location information, remains in your Google Sheet™ until you choose to edit or delete it.
You can delete your AIAxon content at any time by deleting the corresponding information from your Google Sheet™ or from the AIAxon Library sheet.
You can also remove AIAxon's access to your Google Account through your Google Account settings. Removing access prevents AIAxon from accessing your Google Account through the authorization that was granted to the application. Removing access does not automatically delete information that you previously saved in your Google Sheet™; that content can be deleted directly from the spreadsheet.
AIAxon does not intentionally retain Google user data in a separate AIAxon database after the requested functionality has been provided.
Where information is temporarily processed through an external service provider, retention may occur according to that provider's applicable terms and privacy practices.
If AIAxon ever introduces functionality that stores Google user data outside the user's Google Sheet™, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe the applicable retention and deletion practices before that functionality is introduced.
11. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell or rent personal information.
Information may be processed by third-party service providers only when necessary to provide a feature you request, including services used to retrieve Bible text or generate AI scenes.
We do not allow third-party service providers to use Google user data received through AIAxon for advertising or for generalized AI model training or improvement on behalf of AIAxon.
We may also disclose information where required by applicable law, legal process, or a valid governmental request.
12. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the AIAxon service and the information processed through it. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.
13. Children's Privacy
AIAxon is not specifically directed at children. Users should use the service in accordance with the age requirements and policies applicable to their Google Account and Google Workspace services.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the AIAxon service or its data practices change. The latest version will always be published on this page.
